There is a popular saying in the corporate world “Never lie to Customers, but keep some truth out of it”. The statement sounds both honest & catchy, but every word of it is true from insurance agencies point of view. Isaac Cohen NJ has an experience of over 5 years in insurance and shared his views about earning the trust of the customer. Following are the points which would help every Insurance mediator to deal with more authenticity and gain value for its contribution:
- Client is the first priority: The race to being a good insurance agent to gain the trust starts from the customers’ needs. The agents who keeps their incentives prior to everything always fall early in the long race. Every assist apart from the paper work to the customer earns faith for you.
- Work with Emotions, Don’t get emotional: To attain consistency in your deals and work ethics, you need intelligent enough to make the customer think that you are aware of the emotions behind his/her words. But your basics must not be affected by the emotions of customer.
- Present only what the customer wants: Understanding customers’ need is very critical in an insurance deal, in fact it makes the procedure easy in filtering the right options for him.
- Persistence: Never let your personal thoughts to be leaked to your customer. Be professional in your approach, irrespective of what’s going on behind your mind. Your persistence will give you the power and confidence to tackle any query of your clients with humble and zeal and hence you can convert any awkward situation into a resolution.
- Tag of satisfaction: Prompt the customer to ask questions irrespective of how irrelevant it may be. Answer them honestly, but keep the possibilities of customer loss to yourself, up to the time till he actually asks for it. Ask them to read terms & conditions and help them to know the consequences.
